Excellent venue in the wonderful Dean Clough Mills, Halifax. Really enjoyed our food, several vegan options to choose from on the menu.

We booked a table for 15 family members to celebrate my Mums 80th birthday. From start to finish, everything was faultless! The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The food was amazing and exceptionally tasty. Service wise nothing was too much trouble and I felt the staff really went the extra mile. All round a fabulous experience, which we all enjoyed immensely. Thank you for helping to make Mums ‘big’ birthday, a very special day to remember.

Every time we have eaten here it’s been outstanding. They are very accommodating of gluten free options. The service is spot on and they have just the right balance of input. Will be going again. The sea trout was cooked very well

We visited for breakfast and were very impressed. The staff were friendly, welcoming, professional and attentive. The food was served to an excellent standard Superb value for money We will definitely be back Thank you for having us

Another fantastic meal at True North! Found this place last weekend by accident and loved it so much, we booked for an evening meal. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and super special staff who made our visit perfect. Special thanks to Sam, Dan and Aubrey who enhanced our dining experience...thank you guys! X

Fantastic Sunday lunch spot. Visited for the first time and definitely won't be the last time, the restaurant is a great feel. The staff and food made for a memorable meal. The Sunday lunch menu had a good selection of starters, we opted for salmon gravlax and courgette and chickpea fritters. Both items arrived promptly after ordering. The food was well presented and tasted lovely. For main we had sage and onion pork belly and the tomato and aubergine Wellington, again the food was presented beautifully on the plate. On each plate was two roast potatoes, tenderstem broccoli, a roasted carrot and a portion of cauliflower cheese. Everything was great, the staff brought extra gravy which was delicious. We didn't have anything from the dessert menu but the menu looked good. 2 courses were around 20, brilliant value for what we got. Kids roast dinner was 5 for just a main. The drinks menu had a varied offering at standard prices.

My husband and I visited for the first time today having recently moved from Leeds to Halifax. We were hoping to find a new favourite Sunday roast spot, and we certainly have! We both opted for the roast pork belly and agreed it was one of the best roast dinners we've ever had at a restaurant: perfectly cooked pork belly, generous portion size and delicious sides- we both loved the cauliflower cheese. Service was attentive without being too much, and the restaurant's setting in the historic Dean Clough was the cherry on top! We're already planning our next visit, thank you True North :)

Paulicarus fancied a proper Sunday roast dinner so booked a table here. Friends had been before. Sat in what apparently had once been Europe's largest carpet factory. Certainly a huge building. A starter and main for 25. Two lamb and two beef. Good veg selection. We had starters of one wings, one pate and two chose asparagus and sea bass. All excellent. Good service and good wine. No real ale so Paulicarus had a 6.00 pint of lager. Very attentive service.
